I am beyond words to express my gratitude to the Boston music scene for once again being named “Session Musician of the Year” by the Boston Music Awards. I could never imagine winning this award among so many incredible artists in this city, let along win it three times in a row (2016, 2017, 2018). None of this would be possible without the support of the community as well as all the musicians who once again gave me the opportunity to play on their records or at their shows! I am truly grateful and excited about what 2019 will bring!!

It is with tremendous humility and gratitude to announce that I was named “2017 Session Musician of the Year” by the Boston Music Awards. Winning this award two years in a row is one of the most incredible experiences of my career and I could not be more proud to have been recognized by the city of Boston in this category. When I decided to become a session musician 6 years ago, I debated tirelessly as to whether I should move to LA or Nashville, and in the end, I decided to stay in Boston. It is here that I began playing music over 20 years ago. I love this city, and the people who make it so special. This is where I was born, and where I belong. Thank you to everyone for all your support!!

On August 17th I had the immense pleasure of joining my buddies in Bearstronaut for their performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Couldn’t have been more proud to rip a couple songs with them and celebrate such a cool opportunity! We played two songs, both can we seen on Youtube, the first song was “Shadow” and the second track was called “Gold.” I hope for big things to come to the band this year. They deserve all the success headed their way! Also, I am extremely honored to have joined the Big Fat Snare Drum artist roster. I have been using their incredible products for some time now, and have recorded them for many albums over the last few years. Its so cool to now be able to a part of their family! The summer is flyiDangerbirdStudioShotng by and its been filled with amazing shows and sessions. I was incredibly fortunate to spend the last week in LA recording tracks for the new Holly Miranda record coming out on Dangerbird next year. In 6 days we tracked 23 songs, alongside some very cool special guests, including the amazing Jim Fairchild from Modest Mouse. The album is definitely going to be special and I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of it. In addition, the new Thalia Zedek record that I worked on last summer is coming out in a few weeks and already generating some terrific reviews from MOJO, Uncut and numerous other music publications. The record is coming out on Thrill Jockey, and subsequent tours are being booked, including some special ones with Dinosaur Jr. Also earlier this month, a very special record came out that I couldn’t be more stoked on. Telecoast from Bearstronaut. I had the great pleasure of doing some percussion for the band, and the album is truly amazing.
